Born in Montreal and raised in Hamilton Ontario, I moved to NYC to study playwriting with Jack Gelber and Mac Wellman at Brooklyn College.
ARTS
I think I am best described as a multi-disciplinary creative. I have published, produced and directed for the stage and the screen, and I recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of Peninsula, a small contemporary art gallery I founded in 2014 in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Our new location is in Chinatown.
TEACHING
My teaching life began while I was a grad student, and I remain on the faculty of FIT's School of Liberal Arts, teaching in the English and Film Departments.
EDUCATION:
M.F.A. – Creative Writing,
Brooklyn College of the City University of New York
B.A. – Communications Studies/Film, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada
CREATIVE DIRECTOR / COPYWRITING
I crossed over into the advertising world from playwriting/screenwriting, and I got my start at the digital agency Huge in Brooklyn, NY.
While at HUGE, I worked with a diverse roster of clients, including Morgan Stanley, Broadridge, GE, MakerBot, Nestle, Canada Goose and Zelle. Since that time, I’ve had the good fortune of working with several brilliant teams at R/GA, Elephant, VSA Partners and Critical Mass.
With a background in writing short plays and films, I know how to take a broad concept and distill it into a sharp and concise story. I am happiest collaborating with other creative creatures.
